Last month, one of my favorite photographers (and happily friends!), Carey Pace, posted a series of photographs she took of her kids in the rain. Today was the perfect opportunity to get my kiddos out and about in the rain as well – Matthew put his boots on and Lindsey put her pool shoes on and I moved the car from our driveway. My first mistake was not having a game plan other than telling the kids, “Go forth and make the fun!” Matthew was less than thrilled with me and he stubbornly told me, “It’s boring when you take pictures, Mama!” This one I got of him is pure Josh – eyebrows and attitude, that’s my boy.

Lindsey loved it though and was a good sport. She loved catching raindrops on her tongue and twirling her skirt all around, and especially her beloved Dora umbrella.
